  • In a major development, Enforcement Directorate has attached 6.2 Cr worth assets of former Air Chief S.P.Tyagi as part of VVIP Chopper scam investigation. According to ED, S.P. Tyagi’s cousins and their firms received 10.5 Lacs Euros as bribe from AgustaWestland-UK to help swing the Rs. 3,700-crore VVIP chopper deal in its favor. 
  • CBI interrogated former UP CM Mayawati in connection with alleged fraud of funds in the implementation of centrally funded National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) scam earlier this week. During her examination she is alleged to have evaded most of critical questions and pleaded ignorance.
  • Yet again, in the bizarre case of missing Indonesian air-crafts, a passenger plane carrying 10 people lost contact with air traffic control during a flight in Sulawesi island of Indonesia on Friday.
  • In the first match of India-South Africa T20 series, SA chased down India’s total of 199 for 5 with 7 wickets to spare. Rohit Sharma did score a maiden hundred but it didn't help India enough to win the match.
