- On Thursday referring to Faridabad Dalit killings, Gen V K Singh said, “For everything…like if somebody throws a stone at a dog, then the government is responsible…it is not like that.” The opposition demanded the resignation of Gen Singh and the registration of a case under the SC/ST Act for allegedly using “casteist” and “inhumane” remarks.
- Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray on Thursday struck an aggressive posture against the BJP, his party's coalition partner in Maharashtra. Addressing party workers at the Dussehra rally at Shivaji Park in Dadar, he hit out at the BJP on a wide range of issues, including the Dadri case, price rise, Ram Mandir and VK Singh's controversial remark on Dalits. This discovery validates a long-held theory that white dwarfs are capable of cannibalising possible remnant planets that have survived within its solar system.
